Privacy Policy
Effective date: 16 October 2026
The short version
- Hoopsea collects no personal data from anyone.
- It has no ads, no accounts, no analytics and no tracking.
- Your progress, stars and settings stay on your iPhone.
- Purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details.
Who we are
Hoopsea is an iPhone game made by Bogdan Velesca, an individual developer ("we" and "us" in this policy). This policy explains what happens to information when you play Hoopsea. You can also read it inside the app: open Settings, then Privacy Policy. If you have a question, write to support@zmeo.games.
Information we collect
None. Hoopsea doesn't ask for your name, email address, age, location, contacts, photos or any other personal information. It has no account of its own to create or sign in to. We run no servers that the app talks to, so nothing from the app reaches us directly. (Apple's optional crash reports are explained below.)
What stays on your iPhone
To remember where you are, the game saves a few things on your iPhone using the standard storage iOS gives every app:
- which dives you have finished, your stars and your best pump counts;
- your stars for each day's Today's tide;
- which Sea friends you have met;
- your settings (sound, haptics, steering style, jet tap style and tilt sensitivity) and the power you last chose.
This information never leaves your iPhone through Hoopsea. If you delete the app, it is deleted too. Like all app data, it can be included in your own iCloud or computer backups of your iPhone, which Apple and you control.
Motion sensors
You steer by tilting your iPhone, so the game reads its motion sensors while it is open on your screen (the little aquarium behind the Home screen follows your tilt too). It stops when you pause a dive or leave the app. These readings are used on the spot to move the water and are never saved or sent anywhere. If you prefer, you can turn on "Steer by dragging" in Settings and steer with your finger instead.
Purchases
The ten Tidal Toys dives and Today's tide are free. Six world packs can be bought inside the app. Every purchase goes through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment and your Apple Account, and we never receive your name, card details or Apple Account. The app only asks Apple's StoreKit, on your iPhone, for the world packs' prices and which ones you own, so it can show and open them. "Restore purchase" asks Apple again, for example on a new iPhone. Family Sharing and Ask to Buy work as Apple describes them.
Before any purchase, the app shows a grown-up check: a sum that a grown-up types in. The answer is checked on your iPhone, and it isn't stored or sent anywhere.
Apple's handling of purchases is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
No ads, analytics, tracking or third-party services
Hoopsea shows no advertising and contains no analytics, tracking, social or advertising software. It doesn't track you across other companies' apps or websites, and it doesn't use your device's advertising identifier. Apart from Apple's own frameworks, the app is built only with the developer's own Swift code libraries and open-source ones. All of them run inside the app and don't send information anywhere.
Music and sound
The music and almost all sound effects were created with ElevenLabs on a paid plan; the underwater organ's notes were synthesized by the developer. All of them are packaged inside the app. Playing them doesn't connect to ElevenLabs or to any other service.
Crash reports from Apple
If you have turned on Share With App Developers in your iPhone's Settings (Privacy & Security, then Analytics & Improvements), Apple may share crash and performance reports about Hoopsea with us. Apple prepares these reports, and they don't identify you. You can turn the setting off at any time. Hoopsea itself sends no reports.
Children's privacy
Hoopsea is made for the whole family, so children may play it too. It collects no personal information from anyone, of any age, so it collects none from children, including children under 13 in the United States and the United Kingdom, and children under each European Union country's age of digital consent (13 to 16). The app has no chat, no sign-up, no ads and no links that lead out of the app. The grown-up check helps make sure a grown-up is there before anything is bought. If you think a child has sent us personal information by email, write to support@zmeo.games and we will delete it.
Your choices and rights
We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to show, correct, transfer or delete. To remove everything Hoopsea has saved, delete the app from your iPhone. Privacy laws such as the GDPR, the UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act give you rights over your data, and you are welcome to contact us about them. We don't sell or share personal information.
If you email us
If you write to support, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message. We use it only to answer you, and we don't add you to any list. Tell us if you would like your messages deleted.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever changes how it handles information, we will update this page and its effective date before that version reaches the App Store.
